Open Letter to the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron

Dear Mr. President of the Fifth Republic of France,

On August 24, 2024, Mr. Pavel Durov was arrested during a preliminary investigation by the French police.

We request that his rights be protected and that consular access be granted to the diplomatic representatives of the BRICS countries of which he is a citizen.

We also kindly ask you to petition the court for the revocation of the preventive measure of remand in custody and for the release of the detainee.
